Linda has shown some
wonderful horses over the years, but always dreamed of having a really big
moving driving horse. It was interesting...Robert kept telling
Linda...you should breed one...don't buy one...it will be so much more
rewarding and special...if this horse came from our own breeding program.
When that bay
pinto colt was born...Linda saw the trot she had dreamed of ...it was
breathtaking...she named him
Mini Pleasures Check Me Out.
People told her that
he would loose that trot with age...but he did not loose it. He grew
and matured...and kept that trot. Everywhere he went...he moved like
that...all the time...it was a natural gift. In 2005, Linda put Check
with Mike McCabe at McCabe Training Center. Mike took one look at him,
as he stepped off the trailer and thought ... this one has 'IT'....the
natural trot that comes from deep down inside a gifted horse.
When he debuted
at the Silver Jubilee in spring, 2005....that colt lived up to his
name...."Check Me Out" Everyone in the arena and
barns...did just that....before his first class was over...everyone was
sitting up taking notice of the horse McCabe was driving. Check displayed
his
uplifting trot with a robust spirit filled with heart and soul. This
horse is a showman! We thank McCabe Training Center for
exhibiting our horse with such style and grace. The 2005 show season
was a true dream come true and a year we will never forget.
We are excited
to see our foals by Mini Pleasures Check Me Out as they make their debut
into the world. Our hopes these beautiful foals will follow in their
sire's footsteps...ever so elegant and breathtaking as Mini Pleasures Check
Me Out!
**2006 Update...We
are proud to announce that Check's sire, Mini Pleasures Bullets Buckeroo
made his driving debut with Mike McCabe at McCabe Training Center this year.
He earned two AMHR 2006 National Top 10 Awards in Open Single Pleasure
Driving 30"-32" and Gentlemens Single Pleasure Driving. It definitely
runs in the family...that trot!
